Hi.. I am Okan. There is nothing really unique about the posts and the ideas that I share on this site. They are all out there but don’t get much play time… I thought they should.

The site is about causing insight and as I write for the site my intention is that. I am not sure where it will go. I have no intention of it being anything more than that. If you enjoy the posts, share them please.

I am Turkish, born and raised. I live in a suburb of Chicago. My interest in the stuff of this site started when I was 18 years old after a panic attack. I suffered panic attacks for over 20 years and was determined to figure them out. All I knew was that it was all in my head, all of it. I took on “my head” on after that. And all the work I did on me led me to existential philosophy and a whole world opened up for me. Today I provide online philosophical counseling for Turks. I have helped hundreds of Turks re-relate to their lives and what they think they face. The site is www.mutluolmakistiyorum.com. When ever someone types “I want to be happy” in Turkish in Google-Search… they get me… I am surprised that this happened but it did.

A note about what you read on the site. These are opinions…. if you argue against them you would be right. We cannot argue about gravity or anything in the physical world… but we can argue about anything that lives between our ears and to which we cannot point a finger to… So you would be right if you said “that is not that way.” More power to you. This only shows and confirms that we are free to choose what anything means to us. May what you choose leave you with power and happiness.

I love what is possible with blogs and the internet. How else I could have helped hundreds of people who are on the other side of the world. I am grateful for the internet, Wordpress and all those who work the back-ends. I publish all my sites on Hostgator (I have a few). I have used others but nothing beats their services in my opinion. I hope they don’t sell to a bigger company and loose the service. For themes I use Jestro Themes and Elegant Themes. I like them because of the service I get. I also like themes from Theme Forest.
